Everything!

(this is a picture of a field we had a soccer game on- nice field huh?? lol even had an added bonus-glass, cows, and , big holes)
OK, so now its been what?? Two months since ive written. wow. I think i need to write more. School has been very hard though, so i barely ever have time. Thats the problem. lol. Well.....what is there to say?? Our trip to Zimbabwe after Christmas was AWESOME!! It was the best vacation in my life. Christmas was ok , but we were all homesick....so yea. School started about two months ago...and its very intense. (for me anyway) I like it though. I have great friends there, and they cheer me up when im stressed or REALLY homesick, which is like often. lol. My dad found out about girls club soccer here, so now im on a team. Its a womens team called Imbabatana. (however u say it??) The ages are from 14 (me) to 27. We practice tuesdays through thursdays. The coach, coach Aaron, speaks siswati mostly , so alot of the time I have to ask one of the girls what we're doing. But it's fun, im happy i get to play alot now. I really miss my team in Baton Rouge though....Thats one of the main things i've been so homesick for. I love those girls sooo much, theyre the bestest friends i could ever have. I always wish i could still be playing with them. I loved it sooooo much. Anyways....Im glad they have been still keeping in touch with me, as well as all my other friends. It really helps when im homesick . God is helping me though, and teaching me things along the way. LIke to depend on Him for everything, He knows what I need , want. I know Im here for a purpose, so i need to make the best out of it. I know Im homesick now, but the truth is......Id miss Swaziland if I went back. I dont have a home here on earth anyways. My home and destination is heaven. PLease pray for me to trust God and to be able to lead people to Christ at school in whatever way He wants. Mostly for courage, strength, and endurance. I miss everyone and love you soo much!!!!!
(mimi - hope you feel better fast)

Now

Wow! I haven’t written in FOREVER!!! I’m sooo sorry!! haha. Well.....there is most likely a lot I could write about, but it seems that every time I try to think of something to write about, my head goes blank! SO.............yea. It doesn’t even seem like its close to Christmas, because its summer time here. Usually I'd be counting down the days till Christmas. Oh well.....I guess ill get used to it. Or maybe not. It’s kinda crazy it being hot on Christmas!!! Well, everything is going well.....I just finished school last week and Danielle, Nathanael, and Joelle get out next week. I did OK on my exams......I didn’t know a lot in Maths, and Science, because I’ve never learned it, but hopefully I'll do better next year. Its summer break right now till the end of January. We get to move into our new house January 9th. YAY!! I can’t wait!! We’ve been moving around a lot.

My parents are doing okay and children’s cup has been busy. They are having a Christmas party for every carepoint, so they’re busy getting that together and giving gifts to the kids. I think I’m going with them to a party today. Were going to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe - January 1st. I’m excited. Please pray that it goes well......because Zimbabwe isn’t exactly the safest place to be right now.

I've been doing a lot of distance running. Mostly 10kilometer (3 miles) races. You have to be 16 to do the 21 kilometers, but I can’t wait to start those. I run with my friend Sarah from school. It’s so much fun. Except the hills!! Yesterday we did a 5 k fun run - I got 2nd and Sarah got 3rd. You should see the ladies from Zimbabwe and other places that run the half marathons - their legs look like bamboo sticks and they’re soooo fast!!! WOW. Its soo cool. Anyways,..............That’s all I can think of right now. Please email me if you haven’t already. I love to hear from people. (gabby@childrenscup.org)

I miss everyone sooo much!!! Love ya

Alot of different topics!! haha

This is the athletic fields behind my school. Theyre really nice . Cant wait to start playing soccer on them. Not too excited about running long distance up and down that BIG hill behind them. haha. J/k it should be fun. (maybe)
Well....today was my first monday at Waterford. I love it soo much. God had it all planned out that I would make it in there and then meet the wonderful friends I already have. It is so nice to know that there are a few other people who are christians ,as well as me, and share the same beliefs and love for Jesus. At school today me and 2 other girls talked about so many things, like how since we have been saved- The Holy Spirit has really opened our eyes and hearts to the Bible. We need to have Gods word in our hearts , so that God can use us to help others. I hope that when I am older I can look back at my "highschool" years at Waterford and be able to say that because of Jesus shining through me , I was able to lead some one or even many to Him. Everyone is soo nice and friendly. Beza and Sarah have made me feel sooo included and I am soo happy that I met them. Everyone else in form 2 is amazing , too. I am just not so good with names. So sorry if any are mispelled.I cant spell. Elana, Tamara, Sapati , Anthony, Ben, Beaux, richard, Lily, Sela, Aissa, Dominique, Tish, Alex, ...I am thinking of a few other girls, but I cant remember names right now. As soon as I learn everyones , I will put them on here as well. Thanks Beza for helping me with math (i need it) and everything else.

SCHOOL!!

Well....hm..where do I begin?? I started Waterford Kamhlaba Wednesday. It is soooo HARD!! lol. Everyone is sooo nice. I am in the end of form 2 - (eighth grade) to get used to things. The new year (9th grade) starts in January. Ive met alot of people. Cant remember all of their names. My friend Beza is from Ethiopia and boards there. Sarah is the head masters (principal) daughter , so she lives right by the school. Beza and I went to her house today after school to hang out. Beza braided my hair in corn rows. She says I am trully an African now. haha. I thank God soo much for allowing me to get into this school and make such wonderful friends already! There is not any christian principle taught at this school at all. Please pray that I stay strong in the Lord and that He will continue to shine through me , so that I can be a light to others. (also please pray that I dont fail math and Swaziland history) lol. Its quite hard. I am taking a Siswati class at school. Its fun. Yebo-means yes. And there are alot of weird clicks in the swazi language. Thats about all I know so far. haha.
My siblings start school Monday at Sifundzani Primary. They are quite anxious to start. We went to some of the carepoints the other day (for the first time , since we have been trying to settle in still) I loved it. ,The kids are sooo cute. Its sad , though. Most of them are soo skinny but their stomaches bulge out because of the worms and parasites in them , most likely from drinking dirty water. Most of the Swaziland population live in poverty . Kids here , catch the FLU and die , just because their bodies are not strong enough to fight it. Please pray for us as we try to help and show Gods love to these hurting people. More later!!!
